OUR VISION, MISSION & VALUES:

Real Country Montana (KHTC) 104.3FM and 1490AM is the only country music radio station in Great Falls, Montana that is 100% LOCAL. Locally owned, operated and produced by Montanans for Montanans. Owner/manager Dan DeWitt was born and raised in Great Falls and has spent the last 30 years managing, programming and announcing radio stations across the state of Montana. From Great Falls to Missoula to Billings, DeWitt has worked as a Program Director and Brand Manager for almost every format of radio including, Contemporary Pop, Rock, Top 40, News/Talk and now... Country. The vision for Real Country Montana was driven by a “pure country” programming philosophy, Here in Real Country Montana we play a little classic country, your favorites from the 80’s and 90’s, some of the best of the new millennium, and a touch of today’s new country pioneers. Real Country Montana is the soundtrack for Central Montana and the Western lifestyle.

Our mission is focused on providing our audience with compelling, local, radio that helps make a difference in our community. We don't just SAY that, we actually do what we say we'll do and follow through on that promise with local, real, programs.

Local Breaking News - Real Country Montana works hard to air important local breaking news from the Cascade County Sheriffs Office, Great Falls Police Department, The Great Falls Gazette, and more. As breaking news stories are released, they are gathered in real time and broadcast on-air at the top of the hour.
Central Montana Outdoors - our exclusive partnership with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks allows us to bring this weekly informational feature to outdoor enthusiasts in Central Montana. Every week Vivica Crowser, the Information and Education Officer with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, checks in to give us an update on life in Montana’s great outdoors.
Real Country Sports - Our Real Country Sports programming features play-by-pay action from local surrounding communities including boy/girls basketball and football. Our exclusive partnership with The Fan Show allows us to provide year-round weekly updates on ALL things sports in Montana.
Furry Friday - Every Friday we highlight animals at the Maclean-Cameron Animal Adoption Center looking for their furever home.
